The Romans established a government known as a Republic in which they chose their own leaders. The Romans established a set of laws called "The Twelve Tables." Everyone in the republic were subject to the same set of written laws. The Roman republic was a Tripartite government which is divided into three parts.

Enduring Impacts

Like Rome the U.S has a government that is run by the people. The Constitution is the highest law in the U.S like the Twelve Tables. Like the Romans government the U.S has three parts of the government.
