Well, this is one of my favorite songs because I listened to it for the first time at university. I love this band because they were with me throughout my college studies. When I was studying to be a teacher, I used to think about how important is English in our lives and for that reason, I liked practicing my listening skill day by day using these kinds of songs.

Core memories with my education

We were only 17 years old when we graduated from high school. Many emotions involved this special occasion. Happiness, euphoria and nostalgic feelings were some of them. As we walked through the room our parents were standing besides us and by my right side was Sebastian. He was weird in his own way, didn’t really care about what people used to say and was original. During the past few years me and him had wanted to graduate already because it was time, we were tired, for us monotony is not a way of living and that was what our school was. We were great students, graduated with honors and good discipline. As we entered the room full of our parents we shared AirPods and were playing “killing strangers” by Marilyn Manson. It has been our favorite song quite some time. The song reminds me of how we used to do all-nighters studying for math exams, or when we used to train with this song in our recess. In the end, the song that used to represent our daily lives in highschool ended being the song we played in our graduation party.

I would like to talk about how one of my classmates used the song “till I collapse” from Eminem and how he gets motivation, inspiration and strength to train his body. I believe that music creates feelings and helps us stayed focused on a task we are performing, in this case, to train. Music transmits and provokes emotions, whether they’re happy or sad ones.
