Lamia, Paige, Hunter

The story suggests that just because there is an action that occurred during that time doesn't mean that there is a consequence to the action to that was made. An example after the bomb was dropped would be innocent people left with bad living conditions;Nagasaki and Hiroshima bombings occurred, and these two cities were major cities and now they are deserted due to the half life of radiation. The radiation occurred due to melt down of the nuclear reactors and the bombs as said above. These tragic events caused people, even 40 years from now to live with the consequence of health issues such as PTSD and flashbacks that are constant reminders of such horrific events. Soldiers were in such despair because they felt as if they didn't defend their country enough and many innocent lives were lost. They felt as if they lost themselves and their country, and a sense of dishonorship. Civilians and children go about their days knowing their country will never be the same and is left in rubble.

Faith
Eli
Taylor
In general we all felt that we could easily relate to all the characters who at the time had many different thoughts flying through their heads because of all the chaos occurring. During chaotic events people tend to react in a way that gets them through the time in a comfortable way. Specifically some of us could relate to Teiko because we felt a sense of guilt towards the life she had to live with. She had two children she was left to raise on her own. She has to stay strong despite the hope that she had to gain a better life. Like many others she was left living in a very undesirable house.
