I want them to be engaged and want to learn. I also understand that not every student is the same and that there are going to be those who struggle. I expect them to have respect for education and the knowledge that I have of the content. I'm also aware that all these expectations can go out the window at any moment and that I should be able to adapt as each day, week, month, or year progresses because not every year will be the same or every month or every week.
