The construction of this theater was completed at the beginning of the 21st century, and its construction was carried out on land that in other times had belonged to an old oil mill and an old school. That mill would later give its name to the entire neighborhood and also to the square where the theater stands today.

The final budget for the work was more than three million euros, and for its official inauguration, held on January 11, 2001, a concert was scheduled by the famous guitarist Manolo Sanlúcar.

Between the marshes and the Sevillian countryside is Los Palacios and Villafranca. A municipality resulting from the union of two towns: Los Palacios de la Atalayuela and Villafranca de la Marisma. Two historic villages in the Lower Guadalquivir, at the foot of the N-IV highway, whose population grew during trade with the Indies. Finally, both were united in 1835 and today they constitute a large town, a stone's throw from the Andalusian capital.
