Book Review Response

I agree with this review, it clearly states major points throughout the book. For example, I agree with what they say about Grace and her secret. Grace is scared to tell her half sibling's her secret and the others felt the same way. I also agree with the fact that there is "racial discrimination" because Grace and Maya (her half sister) got adopted because their white, but their half brother, Joaquin, is 17 and still in foster care because he is Latino. I disagree with when they say "the siblings who suddenly become part of one others life", in the book it took a little while for Grace to email Maya and agree to look for Joaquin. Everything in this review is just the major parts of the but, but there is way more to learn.

This quote is my favorite because it could be meant for many people and the story. This quote was used for Maya but it could be Grace and Joaquin. Joaquin has been told by his foster parent that they want to adopt him, but he didnt go along with it. Grace enjoys her home and glad she got taken home with a family. On the other hand the quote is directed to Maya to make her feel better, because her parents fight non-stop. It's getting to the point that she can handle it, but also don't want them to get in divorce. This is why it's my favorite because it includes more than one person.

In this picture there are three puzzle pieces and three hands slowly putting them together. This imagine represents the part in the book when Maya, Grace, and Joaquin find each other. It took time, but slowly Grace emailed Maya and they found Joaquin. One they are together the bond and fit even though they are all half sisters and brother. It's also nice that they have a bong=d with all there different ages, and get along. Although there is some arguing it just makes them closer in the beginning.

Throughout the book many things go wrong. Towards the end of the book everything seems to be getting better. I think the theme of the book is to never give up on yourself or others. I believe that this is the theme because when all the siblings come together things go wrong but once they go along with things it works. Ever since they went on a trip together they realized so many new things and when they returned home everything turned out to be all good.
