Her ideas, which may seem obviously right nowadays, were taken as a huge threat by the US government. The FBI listed her as most wanted and sought to imprison or kill her, she was eventually aquited because she didn't actually commit a crime. Authorities just wanted to silence her. She writes books, teaches and speaks to this day.
