I think it is important to see social studies as more than just learning history and instead seeing it as a motivator of how it can teach us about change, unknown topics, and what WE can do! History, Economics, Geography, Civics can all come together to impact our future and the role we play

I view social studies as a means to teach people how they can make a positive impact in their world. I think that teaching people how they can impact the world, whether through their actions or their own opinions, should encourage confidence in their voices. Being a part of their communities will also show them ways to positively impact their communities around them.
