Assimilationists are people who believe Black people as a group can be changed. This is because they think that there is something wrong with them that can be fixed to make them better.

Segregationists also believe there is something wrong with Black people as a group much like assimilationists, but unlike assimilationists, segregationists don't think Black people as a group can change, they believe that there is a inferior race and that it will stay that way.

Antiracists are people that do not have racist ideas, racist ideas are any ideas that suggest something is wrong about a race, or inferior or superior about a race. Antiracists are people against racism and believe that all races are equal. Antiracists believe that racism needs to change, not Black people as a group.

The antiracists believe that there is nothing that needs to be changed by Black people, because there's nothing wrong with them. They believe racism is the thing that needs to change. An example is when there is a racist idea suggested, the antiracists would stand up for what's right, and what their belief is, and challenge the people who suggested the racist idea.

The assimilationists try to change Black people, because they think that Black people are the ones who need changing, not racism. An example is when the U.S. wanted to make Native Americans more "American" by forcing their religious beliefs and customs onto the Native Americans, thinking that the Native Americans were the ones that needed to be changed.

The segregationists think that they need to be separated from Black people. The best example for this is the story of Mary Jackson, where she wanted to go to a school to get her bachelors degree in mathematics and physical science, but the only college that offered that around her was an all white college, so she was not allowed to go to that school, and she was told that her dream of becoming the first Black engineer for NASA was impossible to achieve. So she had to testify in court to get enrolled to fight against segregation.

Segregationists are people who think lowly of other people and have a hatred towards them and want to move away from that group or move that group away from themselves. For example in the 1900's their were certain schools that were separated from race and the white schools had way better quality and had way better education than the black schools. They didn't want the white kids to blend in with the black kids.

Assimilationists are people who believe that there is something wrong with said race. They believe that they can help fix these type of "problems" that they have. They want them to join in their society and almost be like one of them. Examples are when white people forced Native Americans to adapt to their culture and forget about their own.

Antiracist are people who believe that all races are the same and should be treated equally with respect and everything else. And they want racism to end because of all the problems racism itself has created for the world and many different society's.

Assimilationist are people who think that black people need to change so that racist don't have something to complain about. Because if everyone is the same then it's harder to be racist towards a group of people. An example of an assimilationist is when the government took all the native American kids from their homes and tried to completely erase their native identity. They did this by changing their names and giving them European names and educating them to be more "civilized."

Segregationist are people who want to separate black people are white people because they believe that black can't be changed. So it's better to just keep them apart from each other. An example of a segregationists actions are when they have white only schools and white only business. These restrictions excluded black people and any one who wasn't white from interacting with white people.

Antiracist are people who believe that there is nothing wrong or right with black people and that every race is equal. (Ex. school system back in the day influencing colored kids to learn white history and be "more white")

Meanwhile segregationists split up races and believe that its just better to not be around them as a whole. (Examples of THIS are when some places are designated "White only" and split up schools back in the day.)

When it comes to Antiracists, they simply just think that all races should be equal, and that there's nothing wrong with black people but the stereotypes that need to change! Examples of this are some people say NO to racist stereotypes of black people, (Like food/looks/jobs stereotypes) and spread awareness on alternative and non confirming options!

Assimilationists are people who believe something is flawed with black people and that they can and should change to fit the societal borders. A good example of assimilation is when Native Americans were forced to stop their cultural practices and were placed in the new education system instead. Segregationists are people who instead of attempting to fix a systemic problem and find a solution, choose to move away and force the "problem" to a different place than them. An example of segregation is when George Corley Wallace Jr. gave a speech supporting the Jim Crow laws saying that segregation is a necessity. Antiracists are people who believe that nothing is wrong with black people and instead the issue is racism and racism is at fault for everything. An example of anti-racism is the newspaper founded in the 1960's called the BLACK SCHOLAR which spread the idea of anti-racism.

Segregationists are those who believe that one race is the superior race, and that those who are not the same race are not equal and are therefor less than. They fully support racist ideas and promote them. One example would be how Gomez Eanes de Zurara promoted the enslavement of black people and lead the public to believe that they were the "inferior race" and he dehumanized them. And as this idea traveled this idea and belief spread as well until many had the idea that black people were legitamently the lesser race, and so also became more absurd ideas and beliefs.

Assimilationists are those that like those that are like them, who they can relate to, and assimilate with. They don't necessarily believe all are equal but if they can relate to you they "like you" as Jason Reynolds states. One example of assimilationists is people who want everyone to be like them, and according to the book some tried to justify the enslavement of black people as a way to help them, save them and basically make the black people like the Europeans, essentially assimilationists did not accept them for who they are but instead wanted to change and "improve" them.

Antiracists are those who believe everyone is equal no matter who you are, where you come from or your appearance. They support an equal and just society, and appreciate everyone not because they feel familiarity with them, but because they accept, respect, and "love you because you are like you" as Jason Reynolds explains it. for an example of antiracist, take the quote on Ms. Gentles wall "if you have come to help me you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then lets work together." This quote (in my mind) is basically saying we are equal and if you are "helping" me (keeping an arms length away and separating me from you as if we are not equals, then you are wasting your time. However if you can recognize that we are all equal and your life, equality and future is intertwined with mine, lets work TOGETHER.

A model that America has previously used with the Native Americans. The best model for this is the tale of Mary Jackson, where she needed to go to a school to get her unhitched males degree in math and science, however the main school that offered that around her was an all white school, so she was not permitted to go to that school, and she was informed that her fantasy about turning into the principal of color specialist for NASA was difficult to accomplish. So she needed to affirm in court to get selected to battle against isolation.

Segregationists-people who want to separate people by their race. Often not wanting to associate with other groups, to neglect, and to think their race has a superiority over others. A prime example of this would be during the civil rights movement where they'd separate Black and White people through Black only and White only areas.

Assimilationists-have a very similar mindset to segregationists in thinking that a certain race is superior. However, instead of separating people of their race they make others race conform to one race. For example, my mom is Japanese and was raised in the United States to be more "White," where she was forced to drop her culture in order for her to be accepted in society. While assimilationists still allow other races to live together, its still under a notion that in order to be acceptable, its to lose your identity and become, a lot of times, White.

Antiracists-are people who are the opposite of both segregationists and assimilationists, they believe that all races should be equal and that none are superior. They allow races to collaborate and live together, having their differences in culture be celebrated and respected. Part of being antiracist is to also be active, being able to push against the oppressive systems of racism through holding people accountable. It's tough, but a good example of this would be our public school system here in Seattle Public Schools, as I can't really speak for other school districts, cities, states, or countries. Many of what we are taught today is very different from not long ago, being taught things like equity and equality that challenges the superiority of "White". Ultimately, antiracists work to understand and to uplift everyone regardless of race to hopefully move the notion that we all deserve rights to be human.

They want all races and ethnicities to mix together and they want to destroy the idea of race itself. An example of this would be in the mid 1800's where the abolitionist movement was in full swing. Most white northerners wanted slavery to be abolished. But, they thought that instead of removing slavery all at once, they thought the best way was to slowly incorporate laws against slavery, and to slowly incorporate Black slaves into "normal white society". This obviously worked out horribly.

Segregationists: Like Assimilationists, this group believes that the 'Black race' has something wrong with them.

Assimilationists: Assimilationists come from the root word, assimilate. To assimilate means to change yourself to resemble your environment or the people you're around, taking in their norms and internalizing it to blend in. An example of assimilating is something kids often do when they're young as they develop and learn to socialize, blending in by copying their peers and learning from their parents or caretakers how to act around others. What assimilationists do is they want people who don't fit their ideal to assimilate, become what they believe is superior, giving the illusion that people will treat you better if you become like them without actually wanting to treat you better. However, this is damaging as it erases other cultures and forces people to act the same with the intention of molding people into the white standard.

Segregationists: Segregationists is a term to label people who want to keep certain races apart. They believe that they must be separated from Black people, instead of letting people coexist regardless of race because they are the "superior race." An example of segregation is how in the past, Black people were required to have separated housing, education, facilities, transportation, and many other services from white people. The people who enforced these rules are segregationists. In fact, it was only 60 years ago when all schools were officially legally desegregated in America.

Antiracists: Antiracists are people who discourage racism and believe that all races should be equal, not one treated better over the other because there isn't a superior or inferior race. They believe that racism is the problem, not the people, and that we need to get rid of the racist ideologies people started forming against Black people instead of trying to force Black people to assimilate or live separately.

Assimilationists: Assimilationists believe that there is something "wrong" with certain races, but that they can be "fixed" in order to fit into a white society. An example of this would be the cultural genocide of indigenous people in the Americas, when indigenous children were forced into residential schools and forbidden from speaking their languages and showing any part of their culture, the slogan being "kill the Indian, save the child". Many survivors of these residential schools as well as their children face PTSD and intergenerational trauma from the abuse they experienced and violent loss of culture. Another example would be how many immigrants are expected to abandon their language and culture in order to "fit in".

Segregationists: Segregationists believe that there is something "wrong" with certain races and want to separate all parts of life on the basis of race. An example would be the full separation of white and colored schools up until 1954,where they were not only separate, colored schools were given far less resources and overall poorer education. Many schools were not fully desegregated until years later. The last school to be desegregated was a Mississippi school in 2016. 8 YEARS AGO.

Antiracists: Antiracists believe that there is nothing "wrong" with any race, and what is wrong is racism and racist systems.

Assimilationists - People who think that there is a problem with Black people. They think that the inequalities that Black people face is because there is something wrong with them that's why it's happening. But, they believe that though Black people are somehow worse, they can be changed for the better. For example, when some countries are colonized, the colonizers would have cultural assimilation and change the culture of the country they invaded to be like their own. Colonizers might teach their language, introduce a new clothing style, etc. In the US some people also judge other peoples cultures because they see it as weird and think that those people should be more "normal" which just means to be more like Americans.

Segregationists - Also people who believe that there is a problem with Black people. The difference between segregationists and assimilationists is that segregationists don't think that Black people can change. They want to be separated from Black people. An example would be from in the past when the US had a lot of segregation. Only white people were able to use a bathroom and there was a designated one for "colored" people, it also could've been schools, restaurants, water fountains, etc.

Antiracists - Unlike assimilationists and segregationists, antiracists believe the problem lies in racism and not Black people or any other race. They don't believe that any race is superior or inferior to another. An example would be fighting against racism and all the policies and ideas that cause and allow it to happen.

Assimilationists - Are people who think/believe that another racial group aside from them aren't as good as them but can be "fixed"/"changed" to fit into societies expectations. Which means trying to make them get ride of their culture and etc. Like when governments ban/forbid racial groups to participate or practice their traditional rituals and ceremonies, religion and even their land. So they could adopt the U.S religious and education system.

Segregationists - Believe that a specific race is better then the rest but think their is no change. So instead of trying to work together they rather all be separate/apart from each other in all type of systems/functions and etc. An example of this could be when they would have an all only white school or even up to drinking fountains

Antiracists - They want everyone to be looked and treated equally and are taking action to make that change and have no more racial stereotypes. Like manage protest and take their time to try and share out to the community.

Assimilationists; Individuals who believes all races are equal, these are also people who think a certain society is wrong and try to suppress their ignorant thoughts to make them "better" or taking dominant traits from a dominant society to normalize what should be, "Normal". For example if an immigrant family moved to a different country other than their own, Assimilationists will try and encourage them to adapt to the language and to get used to what's "normal" and forget about what their "own normal" is they might even suggest to change their names so it isn't "weird" or too "hard" to pronounce and to make their names "acceptable" to fit the norms.

Segregationists: A group that advocated the opinion to keep one group of people apart from one another and treating them differently due to their race, sex, or religion. These people promote the idea that one certain group is more dominant than the groups they are keeping apart. For example in which we all know school bathrooms were separated and had labels of, "For Blacks only" & "For Whites Only" to restrict them from getting close to each other.

Antiracist: A group who is neither an Assimilationists or Segregationist, these are the people who genuinely believe that everything is wrong about racism and race shouldn't be a reason to treat people terribly. These people see no difference between other races they see everyone as an equal and treat everyone with human decency. For example Martin Luther king advocated against the segregation laws and demanded change for his people.

Assimilationists - Assimilationists believe the issue society faces is the specific race categories everybody is grouped into. They want to mix all races together to overcome the issues of racism we face and make everyone into one big group. An example of assimilation in racism is trying to change Native Americans into something they weren't, forcing them to stop participating in their own cultural traditions.

Segregationists - Segregationists believe that different racial groups should be separated, or as in the name segregated. They think each group should be treated differently than the other generally in a negative way. An example of segregation represented in our history is the segregation between white people, and people of color. Separating things like water fountains, housing, jobs, positions of power, voting, etc.

Antiracists - An Antiracist is a person who fights against and takes action towards the struggles of racism we face in society. They bring awareness to the issues being faced, and use their voice to speak up about it promoting change. One highly famous Antiracist in history is Martin Luther King Jr. using all his power to demolish the racial segregation that was happening in the mid 1900's.

A Assimilationists is "a person who favors and promotes the incorporation and mixing of different groups in society."Assimilationist ideas suggest that a racial group is temporarily inferior. Assimilationists believe that persons can be developed.assimilationist ideas are racist, but often do not initially appear to be. The assimilationist position is that black people are inferior (although perhaps not inherently so) to white people, and that this inferiority can be reversed through assimilation into whiteness. Assimilationists believe that both discrimination and black people themselves are to blame for racial disparities. While segregationist ideas are more blatantly racist, assimilationist ideas tend to be implicit and covert and are often held by people who think of themselves as antiracist.

A Segregationist is "someone who agrees with a policy of segregation (= keeping groups of people apart and treating them differently, especially because of their race"The case for the defenders of segregation rested on four arguments: The Constitution did not require white and African American children to attend the same schools. For example, they may point to the an African child who moves to the United States, learns English, and adopts American clothing styles. On the other hand, segregationists also blame Black people for racial inequity, but they believe that they cannot be changed for the better. An example of segregationist ideology is the Jim Crow laws in the southern United States, which enforced racial segregation in places such as bathrooms, drinking fountains, and restaurants. Antiracists believes that everyone is equal and should not be required to change. The civil rights movement of the 1950s-60s is an example of antiracist, it fought for the elimination of segregation.

Assimilationists are people that think that black people are the ones with problems and somethings wrong wit them and they need to change their ways.

Example: A white person tells a immigrant to speak English because "they're in American now". Telling people to dress differently to seem more "appealing" in society.

Antiracist are people that believe that people are equal and everyone of all races should be treated fairly.

Example: When a white person gets in legal trouble they would get the same punishment as a colored person. The crime they did matters, not the race.

Segregationist are people who also believe that black people people and they are the ones with the problems but instead of thinking that they can change their ways, they distance themselves with any contact with a black person.

Example: When a black person sits next to a person, that person moves away or sits somewhere else but if white person sits next to them they wouldn't mind.

Assimilationists are people who assimilate with the idea that black people "need to be changed" and that there would be no racism if they were "more like white people". An example of this would be like Bill Cosby saying things about black families.

Segregationists are people who believe that white and black people are different in the way that white people are superior and black people cannot change. An example of this is the war on drugs and how it targeted black people.

Antiracists are people who believe that there is nothing wrong with any race, and that these racist ideas are the issue. An example of this is Angela Davis and her values.

Assimilationists- Being an Assimilationist means that see that different racial groups can achieve equality by becoming more like white people. An example of this is when white people forced Native Americans to go to a school where the Native Americans were forced to be more like white people.

Segregationists- They prefer to have a segregated system then to not have one and they also believe that there is a better race than other races, And they opposed integrating different racial groups into society. An example of this is when the Jim Crow laws were passed which enforced racial segregation, Everyone that agreed to pass this law was a Segregationist.

Antiracists-Antiracists want the world to be racism free and oppose oppression, to other racial groups. Antiracists see everyone as equal. An example of this is John Brown, John Brown was an Antiracist and he helped aid the escaping slaves through the underground railroad.

Assimilationists believe there is something wrong with other races and have the idea that they need fixing. Because of this, they attempt to change these groups by shaping them to their [the assimilationists] ideals in order to fit them into the same societal box. Rather than separating people like segregationists, they want to merge everyone into one society, which is still very harmful as it erases culture. An example of assimilation in history is seen when colonists invaded native land, forcing Native Americans into boarding schools in attempt to erase their culture and fit them into their [the colonists] society.

Segregationists believe they are superior to every other race. Their goal is to separate people based on race; separating themselves from the racial groups they deem as inferior. An example of this seen in history is when black people were placed into schools separate from white people, had separate fountains of different quality, forced to sit in different sections of the bus, etc.

Antiracists on the other hand, who are completely different from assimilationists and segregationists, believe that everyone is equal. They are against racism and believe no race is superior to another. They believe people themselves do not need to change, but rather that racism is the root problem in need of demolishing. An example of this seen throughout history is during Black Lives Matter protests across the world: where people fight for justice and change, and reveal their own experiences of discrimination and racism.
