2) I used to say that I would read for fun but since becoming a mom 15 years ago and juggling working and everything else, my idea of fun is to go places with my kid (& hubby, little sis is pictured above as well)--our favorite places include Disneyland and California Adventure and anywhere on the coast!

3) I have to come to appreciate all literature but my favorite is Chicanx/Latinx literature which is what I did my Ph.D. coursework and writing on.

4) Aside from providing COD students with a rigorous and thorough literature/English experience, I love introducing students to works they can find connections with--especially when they don't think that they have anything in common with these authors/eras!

(2) For fun I love watching sports and reading about them. I am really big fanatic I know everything from top to bottom you ask me I will give you an answer fast.

(3) The type of Literature I like best would have to be from the old times such as Kings and Queens. Personally my favorite would have to be with anything King Arthur related.

(4) What I look at most what I want to get out of this class is to be able to expand my knowledge about Literature. I know some things but not enough to keep a conversation going.

(2) For fun, I love reading, writing, listening to music, watching television. I also took up blogging as of recently again.

(3) The type of Literature that I like reading would be more gothic and darker somewhat. I have a lot of books that have darker tones to them.

(4) What I look to get out of this class is to expand my knowledge from what we learned last semester. I know a more considerable amount of knowledge of more older literature, but not enough to know other authors from certain eras.

(2) I like reading, playing video games, skating, nature, and creating art for fun.

(3) I tend to be attracted to folktale/horror/historical literature, especially if they're plays.

(4) I look forward to creating connections between different types of literature and their historical eras, as well as how they've impacted our culture in the present.

2) A hobby of mine is photography. I mostly enjoy landscape photography and scenery photography. I have been part taking in this for the past five years. It allows me to relieve my stress from life or even school.

3) The era of literature I enjoyed the most is the late 18th century. An example of this would be Jane Austen. I tend to like novels revolving around realism. I feel like Jane Austen focused on this. This is the main reason I enjoy her works.

4) I hope to learn more about English literature since my major is English. Aside from this, English Literature has always intrigued me as a reader. I hope to understand how the literary canon has shifted or evolved over time.

2) I love creating things through various mediums. This can include writing, painting, pottery, etc. I love nature and I have a husky who has an enormous amount of energy so I hike a lot.

3) I like to read more whimsical writing and romanticism.

4) I am looking forward to being able to discuss the various eras of literature and how they build upon each other over time to form into new eras and so on.

2) I love baking, playing basketball, and love to crochet.

3) Two types of literature I grew to enjoy are drama and fiction. I enjoy reading with suspense and not knowing what will happen next in a story. I love stumbling upon mysteries and trying to predict how to solve them.

4) I hope to have a better understanding of Literature and getto know all of the different genres and some of the eras in literature. I want to be able to understand some of the different "languages" and types of English used in the different eras.

2) I enjoy reading romance and mystery/thriller novels. I can last the whole day in my little reading nook I made for myself and drift away into different story lines. Apart from reading, it also comes with the perk of building my own little library at home.

3) I like the romantics era a whole lot, especially since the writing from that time is fascinating to me. Washington Irving is one of my favorite writers.

4) Gathering what I've recently learned from previous classes, I hope to gain from this course much more knowledge regarding the writing these authors chose to pursue.

2) For fun, I spend time with my chihuahua-terrier mix dog, Parker, go to movies whenever I can, and work on cataloguing and displaying my large collection of Disney items.

3) I like reading literature that come in series of novels, such as the Earth's Children's series (Clan of the Cave Bear) by Auel, the North and South series by Jakes, the Lord of the Rings series by Tolkien, and the Harry Potter series by Rowling. I like these because of the epic nature of these types of stories.

4) I hope that I will learn ways of approaching the reading and critique of literature and especially learn about the development of literature in England.

3) What era and/or type of literature do you like best? My favorite type of literature is fantasy, mystery, and romance. Some of my favorite works of literature come from the Romantic period!

3. My favorite types of Literature are Fantasy and Sci-Fi. I really got into these genres when I first read The Lord of the Rings back when I was younger.  

4.  What I’m hoping to get out of this class really is just to broaden my knowledge of Literature and use that knowledge to help me in my writings.

2) For fun I enjoy card collecting. I don't know where it came from, I just started during Winter Semester. I have a decent binder coming along though!

3) From what I recall last last semester, my favorite literature had to have been The Middle Ages. Although some pieces quite literally super difficult to pronounce and or read, once you understand, it's some good reading. I also enjoyed the Romance aspects of some works, which I never thought I would to be honest.

4) Out of this class I hope to expand my knowledge about histories of the authors, and writing motives.
