1. Worrying if I'm confusing/ intimidating the student even more when I'm supposed to be helping them

1. I am concerned that I will not know the best way to clearly communicate the best solution to their questions.

2) Being too intimidating or being anyway that might make my students avoid seeking my help

1.) Communication, I’m worried I won’t be able to communicate effectively to help them learn, and I’m worried about being unable to understand where it is that they are having issues.

2.) Preparation, I’m worried I won’t have the resources to be able to help my tutee.

1. Not knowing the information the tutee is asking about, or failing to explain it well.

2. Failing to explain something that I do understand well enough for the tutee to learn the information quickly.

1) Potentially not knowing the answer to their problem, and not being of much help to them in that moment.

2) Not being taken serious due to the fact that we both have the title of "student".

1. Not having the knowledge that would help the person I am tutoring with.

2. And not being able to communicate the ideas or concepts properly to the person I am tutoring.

My second is balancing how to steer thoughts in the right orientation without being too forceful

1. Not being able to help the person and them walking out feeling more confused or didn't get what they wanted out of it.

2. I'm worried I won't be able to help with things I'm not certain on and embarrass myself.

1) My adaptability as a tutor. Being able to answer a question that looks or sounds different from something I have seen before.

2) Making myself understood. I want to do my best to make sure my tutee understands their questions about the material and not for me to just talk about what I know about the material.

1. Not being able to communicate my thought process to someone else.

2. Not being able to properly help the student understand how to solve a problem.

2) I’m also concerned that not many people will use my tutoring services. I’ve heard other tutors experiences where they haven’t had many people use their office hours etc, so I am concerned I won’t be able to get students comfortable enough to use my services.

2) maybe I come across something new I haven’t seen before that wasn’t there when I had taken the subject and could be confusing for the student and I

1. Making sure I am knowledgeable of the subject and able to successfully help answer their questions.

2. Being cautious of making sure I stay professional and not allowing my personal self to overlap too much.
