Additionally, he was a co-founder and the chief operating officer of 87AM Advertising, a digital advertising firm with offices in six major US cities as well as London, England. As a producer, Carl Levin produced the Broadway shows Rock of Ages and Disgraced. Carl Levin's production of Disgraced, which ran on Broadway from October 2013 to March 2014, first premiered at Chicago's American Theatre Company in 2012. The play starred Gretchen Mol and Josh Radnor and was written by Ayad Akhtar, who details a successful lawyer's experience as a Muslim American following September 11, 2001. It earned the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, an Obie Award, and a Tony Award nomination for Best Play. Mr. Levin's earlier Broadway production, Rock of Ages, started as an idea written on a napkin in a conference room and became the 28th longest-running show in Broadway history.
