2. Where is your favourite place in the neighbourhood?

Reason why we chose this question: We will be able to know which are the places that are special to the residents.

Nanyang Technological University provides high-quality global education to over 32,500 students and carries a long history which was first established as NTI in 1991.

Nanyang Community Centre is a place where everyone recognizes by its four-faced clock tower and is an ideal place for social gatherings.

Jurong Police Division is where many police officers manage a large swath of previously uninhabited and agricultural areas. In 1999, the headquarters was moved to its present location at Jurong West Avenue 5.

-They interact with their neighbours 

-The neighbourhood is very convenient, there’s a market, a few coffee shops, schools, bus stops

Markets such as Prime Supermarket and Vetri stores are places where people can buy their groceries.

Schools for children that live in the Nanyang Neighbourhood are able to enroll in the primary , secondary schools along with some nursery and daycare .

Coffee Shops as It is very convenient as when people who live in the neighbourhood as when they are hungry they can just go to the near by neighbourhood coffee shop to get something to eat.

-They created lots of memories in this neighbourhood (first date, kindergarten)

Special places ; Nanyang Community Club , Playgrounds , City Harvest Church / Temple , Prime Supermarket , Jurong West Sports Complex , Central ( The area where we did our interview )

Why and how ; Comfortness , Convenient , Socializing with other people , Better to be outdoors than indoors.

- Very happy to see the Community Centre being built in their constituency (Rahana)

- Will come here more often to play in the badminton courts as its really good and big there (Kelvin Wong)

- Been here quite often every month or every week so its a good place to hang out (Mahat Ali )

- With the new improved facilities, feeling more comfortable studying over there (Sandave) resident

2. City Harvest Church

City Harvest Church was a very inviting place, even for an awkward teenager. It was inviting not that everyone coddled you in hopes that you would remain a part of the congregation, but you truly felt the sincerity of those who wished the best of you.

However , the older generation , retirees , prefer Nanyang neighbourhood as this is where their friends and families are , this is where they belong .
