My name is King James I and I was the first puritan King after Great Queen Elizabeth. I was the first English King to translate the Bible into English and we called it the King James Bible. I was honored to be part of the founding of Jamestown; a prominent settlement in the newly acquired lands of America.

My name is Charles I and I also believe in the divine right of kings. My feud with Parliament led me to dissolve myself and creating the English Civil War in 1642. I also defeated James and the Royalists and executed James for treason against his own country.

Oliver Cromwell (1649-1658)

Hello my name is Oliver Cromwell and I protected Britain from freedom. I was a Puritan Army General succeeded in the Civil War and was crowned the Lord Protected and ruled England until I die. I changed England's government by dominating the monarchy and establishing the Commonwealth. I let conquest of Ireland and Scotland and crushed both. I had everyone practice purifying and structure at church and was very strict on social control because I wanted England to become a better place and have no fun.

My name is Charles II and I had a very rough time during the Cromwell rule. I was exiled to France by Cromwell because of his threat he posed to the throne as Charles I's son. As soon as Oliver died, I returned to England, took control, and restored the Monarchy. I was known as the Restoration. I had fair share problems and that's when the Black Plague happened. I sought to heal wounds left by the Civil War and pursued the policy of religious tolerance in a document called the Declaration of Indulgence.

James II (1685-1688)

I am James II I am the son of the previous ruler and my father James I, I ruled from 1685 til 1688. I had 12 “illegitimate” children so I would be the last Roman Catholic King of England, Ireland, and Scotland. With England being majority Protestant, another Catholic King upset them and I faced a lot of challenges regarding religion.

William & Mary (1688 - 1702)

I William and I Mary, we have ruled after James II from 1688 til 1702 I Mary am the daughter of King James II but I was raised Protestant unlike my father. When parliament completed the overthrow of King James II they asked I William & I Mary to rule jointly as a Protestant alternative. Our rule begins the Constitutional Monarchy in England by agreeing to govern in accordance with the laws and decisions of Parliament.
