Before: The previous class students were demonstrating knowledge level of Asian brush work with a KWL chart with information of:

1. What types of major themes are common in Asian brushwork? 

2. What are the basic tools used in Asian brushwork?

3. What are the differences of Asian art and Western art?

During: 

· Students show the brush stroke practice on water-sensitive practice paper. They will demonstrate different line qualities (thick vs. thin), 4 step ink tones and one texture made by the brush.

· Check their understanding using multiple-choice Hold-Ups (1, 2, 3, 4) questions about Asian art formats, cultural background, and characteristics.

After: 

· Exit Ticket Using Outcome Sentence- Students can state symbols and view-points that are intertwined in the theme of Asian brushwork verbally. 

· Students will be able to identify Asian art terms as well as the similarities and differences between Eastern art and Western art using Kahoot.
