I am in a group with Gina, Ben and Carl and we all thought that we all would maybe work together quite well because usually we can all agree on something easily and there usually isn't really and argument between us and if there is we usually solve it quickly.

Targets
- Play through the song we have picked
-establish ideas of what we want to do (song choices)
-Basic organisation
- Locate a drum track.

How did ideas develop in rehearsal.
We firstly decided on a song that we all knew or at least heard the basics of the song, so we picked the song Sweet child of mine by Guns and Roses which is in the rock genre. We all started to practice over the song and we tried to piece the song together and we tried to get the timings right but they we a bit off now and again but we all put that down to we didn't have a drummer so we located a drum track to help us with the timing of the song. After that we discussed what other genres we could go for so we settled on the genres on indie rock and pop. The songs we picked are You're So Cheap by Dead! for the indie genre and I Kissed A Girl for the pop genre.

Did we meet the targets?
Yes we did meet all of our targets we had set because we established the songs that we wanted to do, found a drum track for the song, practised through the songs many of times to get the basics and we also organised who's doing what in the songs.

Feedback
All of us in our group agreed that we probably need to practise the song a bit more so we can get timings right and we all need to learn our parts a bit more.

We rated our performance a 9 this is both for individual and group the only reason we didn't give ourselves a 10 is because we need to practise a bit more.

How did you develop ideas in rehearsal?
This lesson we all agreed that we should do a song from the indie genre because it will have a different sound compared from doing a song from the rock genre. Everyone in the group agreed that i could pick the song due to me being the one that likes that genre of music the most so i picked the song You're So Cheap by Dead! because it has a big comparison on the sound compared to sweet child of mine. We practised the song quite a lot during the time we had but no one could get a hang of how the song flows due to the timings weren't right or we couldn't get the chords right etc. In the last 30 minutes of the time we had we went over our previous song which we managed to get perfect this time round.

Did we meet the targets that we set?
No, we didn't meet all of the targets we set ourselves. We tried to learn the new song but it didn't turn out exactly right but we kept going and we tried to rehearse it as much as we could but it didn't really go to plan so in that case no we didn't really learn the song properly. We met the full target of going over our previous song that we did and we got the timings near enough right it was just on the nee song that we couldn't get the timings quite right.

Feedback.
We all said that maybe we could try another song to try out to replace the new song that we tried to put together, maybe one that we all new a bit better so that if one of us goes a bit wrong we could point it out an help each other get in time etc.

what we rated the group performance.

how did you develop ideas in rehearsal?
We decided to pick a pop song which ended up being i kissed a girl by Katy Perry, this time round Gina was the one singing the song due to it being her choice and she new the song and lyrics better than anyone else i the group, i switched to drums instead of singing, Ben and Carl were still on guitars and be added Julia in so she could by the bass for us. Due to Gina and Ben doing this song before once in a different session they new the chords and the rhythm really well so me and Carl has to listen and go through the song a few times so that we could pick up the timing and the melody of the song. It took a few attempts but we still managed to get the song near enough finished and in time.

Did we meet all the targets that we set?
yes, we did meet all of our targets that we set we went though one of over previous songs, practised our new song a lot and we also decided on a new song choice which ended up being Mr brightside by the killers.

Feedback
We all said that we all needed a slight bit of practise outside of college to prefect our pieces, and due to me not going to be able to make it to the next lesson that they will learn mr brightside with out me because i will be able to pick up on it easy enough when i come back.

Today we performed 2 of our ensemble pieces. Before we performed them we practised them over and over again so that we have them perfect for when we perform them.  We also had a quick run through of i kissed a girl but we decided not to perform it this week so that we can try and get it spot on. 
We met all of the targets that we had set ourselves today and we had no trouble meeting them today. We all agreed that we would give ourselves a 10 rating because we got everything finished what we wanted to get done today and that we just went though it all with out a problem.

Feed back

Today we performed our last song which was i kissed a girl by Katy Perry.
We went through everything pretty quickly, we ran rough the song a couple times before then performing it. we didn't have much to do today but we went through it and we still put a lot of effort into it so we gave ourselves a rating of 10 because all we did was practise through everything and finish of what we needed to do. 
After this we all just went through some of our solos and that was it for this lesson.

Feedback
