I love agriculture and sustainability, I always wanted to live on the countryside and being self-sufficient. Now I have 22 years, and I am very excited of finishing my studies to start working and earning money to buy a piece of land and start working on my dream.

I think this society is spiralling to death, just creating empty desires and pushing people into consuming more and more everyday. Since I was a kid I feel that my path on this life is to make a paradigm shift, opening "new" ways of living and relating to the earth and the ecosystem, creating community spaces that are safe and healthy for people and biodiversity.

I´m Gabriel Sanz (I guess you already figured it out by now) and i´m 24. I was cursed by god and born in Venezuela (used to be a nice place I swear). I moved to Spain a while ago. Hopefully I´m finishing my beloved dregree in CIENCIAS AGRARIAS Y BIOECONOMIA before losing my mind.

Talking about my likes is a weird think to do in my honest opinion. I mean, I probably like the same things as you, but in a different way... or maybe I don´t. However, it´s time to finish this post since [PROFESSIONAL STUFF] won´t write by itself.

Hi, i’m Melissa, it’s been 5 years since i came from Peru to Spain, adapting to a new environment was surprisingly tricky considering the same language is used in both countries, but after all this time i’ve adapted so far, what i do miss is the landscapes of the town i come from, though living in a big city has its perks.

I like cooking new recipes that I find on the internet, Chinese, Korean and Japanese food are my favorite to cook from time to time; also  i like to draw and paint, unfortunately i don’t have much inspiration now a days.

Watching movies is also one of my hobbys if it can be considerd one, over all my pastimes are passive activites but i also like trekking, i would like to do it again, sedentarism is getting me out of shape!.

Also, I worked in a petshop until last year! In retrospective it was a intresting experience full of funny memories to share. In reality, it was an awful experience full of stress, anxiety and one of the most toxic work enviroments I can think of. Not only did I experience the venomous bite of nepotism for the first time, having to deal with grow up babys as my managers. But somehow I became the safe place of my coworkers, and not because I was in a good place mentally, just because I was the less damaged among them. Even if it was an awful experience I learnt a lot and also taste the wonder of a stable income for the first time in my life!

All I can say is: this world is a awful place but you can find beuty in it!

Some people may say that the world as a whole is wrong, but this world just is and I just happen to be born into this world. My only wish is to become free enough to archive true happines with those who I love and assure a economical safe future for me and my beloveds.

On my research about culture mediums I discovered that the best ones to multiplicate mycelium are the PDA (Potato Dextrose Agar) as solid and the Honey Tek on liquid. For growing mushrooms the substrate may vary widely depending on the species. My main research was focused on Psylocibe cubensis, for this group the best substrate was made of coco-core and vermiculite.

Now, I´m starting a project about lion´s mane (Hericium erinaceus). This specie is very interesting for its healing properties. Is known that can have the potential of preventing alzheimer and other degenerative mental diseases.

I’m a student about to get her bachelor degree in Agriculture and Bioeconomy, when i get to graduate and get to work i would like to colaborate in a food production technic that is more environmentaly friendly, developing more sustaintability mesures in food production, last semester i was in an internship in a research program where a proffessor in this university and her team are working in the development of a modeling program, it predicts how will the yield and water consumption will change assuming future climate change scenarios. It will be used in aiding decision making for the department of acriculture of Spain and other countries in the European Union
