Force is a push or a pull.
This was seen in the hoop and marker activity when we used force to pull the hoop away from under the marker. This relates to newtons first law because taken it was acted upon by an unbalanced force which is why it moved.

Mass is the quantity of matter in a body regardless of its volume or of any forces acting on it. This related to the the table cloth magic activity because the mass of all of the objects stays the same when pulling the table cloth out from under it.

Motion is the change of the position of an object over a period of time.
This was presented in the hoop and marker activity when you had to move the hoop so the marker fell straight into the jar. This shows motion because the marker was in motion when it was falling into the jar.

Newtons First law of motion is An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. This means that if an object is moving it will stay moving and not change speeds unless you act upon it with an unbalanced force. Also if an object is still it will stay still unless it is acted upon with an unbalanced force.
