On the otherhand, they heavily support UN (United Nations) peacekeeping missions. The party has previously stated that it will, "make sure that Canadian-made weapons are not fuelling conflict and human rights abuses abroad." They wish to cut military spending and use that money to support Canadian citizens. Focusing back within Canada's Borders, the NDP claim that the liberals are failing veterans and that lapsed funding must end. The NDP believe that Canada needs to seek elsewhere for the majority of imports and get off of China becuase of injustified actions by the Chiniese government. Isreal is seen as a waste of good money, as Canada sends more weapons to their conflcit with Palestine. The NDP want to prioritize peace and stop sending arms. The European Union are on the NDP's good side but the proposed ecomic union of CANZUK, consisting of Austrailia, New Zealand, the UK and Canada.
