Many manufactured food and drink products contain high level of sugars which causes many health problems. Sugary products should be made more expensive to encourage people to consume less sugar. Do you agree or disagree?

In today’s world, there has been more and more emphasis on health. Some argue that there are too much
sugar in the food and drink
products available on the market and the government should charge an additional fee on
products with high
sugar levels. Personally, I agree with
this approach and I will list out some of the benefits below.

Firstly, charging higher prices will definitely reduce people’s intake of sugary
products. Sometimes, the public is simply not aware of the number of carbohydrates contained in the drink they purchase, as manufacturers nowadays tend to find ways to label their
products as healthy even though they are not.
For instance, some juice shops label themselves as healthy by emphasising their
products’ freshness.
However, they never inform their customers of the amount of
sugar contained in one regular size juice, which can be extremely high for some items
such as grape juice.

Secondly, making these unhealthy drinks more expensive will help consumers make better choices when purchasing
such
products. They are simply bad for health as they can lead to problems
such as obesity and diabetes. The general public should definitely not be encouraged to consume
such
products.
In addition, with more and more people switching to healthier diets, the nation will definitely benefit from savings on healthcare in the long run.

Some argue that consumers should have freedom of choice and should not be punished for choosing sugary
products which are often more tasty than others.
However, leading manufacturers in the food and drinks industries have been focusing more and more on research for new
products that contain less
sugar, but still taste similar to the original
products.
For example, coca-cola has come out with a few new versions of coke
such as coke zero.

In conclusion, sugary food and drinks are harmful to people’s well-being and higher price should be charged so as to help people control their carbohydrate intake and eventually improve the health of the population.

ESSAY 3: It is a good idea for teenagers to have jobs while they are still students. To what extent do you agree with this statement? Support your answer with specific reasons and details.

Part-time work is very overwhelming in the world of today where higher education has become sky-high.

Some people argue that students should focus more on their syllabus rather than doing jobs. Yet, I completely agree that half-time jobs are important for scholars to teach them responsibilities and the value of money.

To begin with, the teens can learn how to be responsible, punctual and manage their time effectively while doing a part-time job. For instance, while working, it is their sole responsibility to report on time and do the duties properly. By this , specific skills are learnt by the young people which will help them in the near future.
In addition, the pupils will be able to unearth the value of money. They will spend less unnecessarily and maybe even be capable to pay their necessities and bills. They can even fund their higher education.

For instance, the youngsters will think twice before paying for unnecessary items because even the small amount of money they get is of utmost importance. They will focus more on the budget. Hence, this attitude will make them become better individuals. Therefore, part-time employment is a great notion.
However, some people argue that the students should focus only on their studies. They claim that the scholars will get easily distracted from their studies while doing the temporary jobs and score poor grades in academics. But, today's teenagers are very intelligent and wise. They know how to manage studies along with their job.

In brief, doing a part-time job while studying is an excellent idea to be brought up to students worldwide. It is one of the best ways to get trained for difficulties.

Therefore, it is hoped that this will benefit them to brighten up their future.

In the last few decades, whether or not pupils should be required to use electronic gadgets in the classroom has been a matter of concern. While there is no doubt true that technological appliances can be a fantastic supplementary, it is my perspective that these modern devices cannot be an alternative to the conventional teaching method.

There are two underlying reasons why electronic gadgets have been supported to assist students with learning ideally. Initially, high-tech contraptions would help students acquire knowledge better due to the abundance of high-quality information now available on many websites. All studying materials, like every instruction and study relevant to every learning level from advanced to primary, are freely provided. What is more, using technological gadgets makes the lessons more attractive and efficient since teachers can take advantage of various innovative learning programs from virtual platforms. These apps, such as Quizzes or Kahoot, can not only be easily downloaded from smartphones, laptops, tablets but also have colorfully designed courses, funny methods and engaging content.

Notwithstanding the aforementioned merits, I firmly contend that electronic gadgets should not be used full-time in the classroom. First and foremost, a vast majority of students from remote areas are unable to access the Internet in the face of technical and monetary issues; thus, requiring students to have their own modern appliances can be a massive problem. While on the other hand, providing free electronic gadgets can be out of budget for the government from such underdeveloped countries as Vietnam. Secondly, recent studies also highlighted that if technical gadgets were used as a part of schools, some pupils could start to judge others through their electronic devices, which would lead to peer pressure in the school. Last but not least, overly using the Internet exposes teenagers to inappropriate information that can deteriorate students' morality. Several adolescents may use electronic devices as a reason to be against the school's rules whenever they play games, text and chat during lesson time, search for answers on the Internet for better grades.

To sum up, even though technological appliances are universally accepted as an amazing supplementary that would help learning become effortless, it is my belief that electronic gadgets cannot substitute traditional teaching methods.

It is argued that mobile
phones are not necessary for pupils and should be prohibited to use, while some people believe that it is not a big deal to allow
children to use their gadgets at
school. In ,the essay both viewpoints will be discussed and my opinion will be provided.

First of all, emergencies are not a rare thing in modern schools and mobile
phones can be literally a lifesaver.
For example, a
school like many other places in a space where a lot of contingencies could happen from mere medical emergency to
school shooting and mobile phone would provide students with an inevitable tool of communication to get help.
Moreover,
children could face violence and harassment from teachers and without ,
phones they would be unable to record justifications and collect evidence of tutors' misbehaviour.

Nevertheless, gadgets and
phones,
in particular, are highly attractive and engaging time killers, forcing pupils to spend a large amount of time on the Internet
instead of studying.
As a result,
children could not master
school subjects and successfully apply for college to become professionals.
Besides, today all students want to get the best and expensive phone, but not all parents can afford it.
Subsequently,
children from wealthy families with expensive mobile
phones make inequality more vivid and incline less fortunate
children into depression.

In my opinion, mobile
phones as other gadgets provide a great range of opportunities to improve the studying process, so it is counterproductive to ban
phones at
school, teachers just should learn how to include them in the learning process.
For instance, tutors could carry out interactive tests on
phones and engage students that that tend to be more distractive.

In conclusion, at
first ,sight mobile phone can be perceived as a distractor, but with an attentive and creative approach teachers can successfully implement it in the learning process.

There is a debate over whether or not children should help parents with housework. Some advocate the view that children should spend more time playing with friends or exploring new things. Others argue that children should help with household tasks. Personally, I am convinced by the latter’s point. This essay will grant us a chance to discuss the issue in more detail.

The opponents of children’s household tasks usually put forward an argument that doing housework is time-consuming. Nowadays, children are always busy with their study, which prevents them from helping their parents with household tasks or even having free time for themselves. It is, therefore, argued that housework may take much of the children’s little spare time. In other words, it is unfair for children on grounds that they will not enough time for other important activities.

More or less, there seem to be a point in their argument. Nonetheless, doing housework will make children more independent. Take me as an example. My overprotective parents in one way or another have made me clumsy. In fact, I usually find it difficult to complete my household tasks as my parents always stop me from doing around the house. Meanwhile, my older sister has done everything by herself since she was a child. As a result, she is successful in any business, both at home and at work. It is no doubt that the tasks she did has helped her to be more independent than me. The adherents of children’s housework add that doing household tasks helps children learn how to manage their time properly for hard jobs in their life as well as their study.

Furthermore, doing around the house will make children proud of themselves as a member of the family, thereby it actually strengthens the bonds among family members. In fact, most children are not clearly aware of their duty. If the adults, however, let them do some tasks and give them compliment in time, this not only can make children proud of themselves but also encourages them to do more good things. Therefore, doing housework will give children an opportunity to contribute to the family, as a truly mature member and, at the same time, the families with children lending a helping hand with chores will certainly be close-knit and happy.

In brief, in modern age, it is necessary for children to have proper guidance to get practical experience from their own tasks so as to be well-prepared for their life. Handling household tasks is considered an ideal way for teenagers to nurture well-rounded development, as it is beneficial in various aspects.

ESSAY 9: A.I replace real teachers?

As technology continues to advance, the idea that artificial intelligence (AI) will replace teachers in the classroom has become a topic of debate. While some believe that AI has the potential to improve education, others argue that it cannot replace human teachers. In my opinion, while AI has its benefits, it cannot completely replace the role of a teacher in the classroom.

One of the advantages of AI in the classroom is that it can provide personalized learning experiences for students. AI can use data to identify individual learning styles and tailor lessons to meet the needs of each student. This can be especially helpful in classrooms with a large number of students, where teachers may not have the time or resources to provide individual attention to every student. In addition, AI can also provide instant feedback to students on their performance, allowing them to track their progress and identify areas that require improvement. This type of feedback can be more efficient and accurate than traditional methods, which can take longer and may not be as detailed.

However, despite the benefits of AI, there are also limitations. One of the most important roles of a teacher is to build relationships with students and create a positive learning environment. This can be difficult for AI to replicate, as it lacks the human touch and empathy that is necessary to form meaningful connections with students. Furthermore, AI cannot fully replace the experience of interacting with a human teacher. Teachers play an important role in not only delivering content, but also in developing critical thinking skills, promoting creativity, and encouraging social and emotional development. These are areas where AI falls short and where human teachers can provide invaluable guidance and support to students.

In conclusion, while AI has the potential to improve education and provide new opportunities for personalized learning, it cannot completely replace the role of a teacher in the classroom. The human connection and the ability to inspire and motivate students are essential components of effective teaching that AI cannot replicate. Rather than replacing teachers, AI should be seen as a tool that can support and enhance the work of teachers, helping to create a more efficient and effective learning environment.

ESSAY 10: Some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. Others believe that children who are taught to co-operate rather than compete become more useful adults.Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

In our society, many people believe that competition is a vital component in establishing a positive personality and behaviour. Parents for instance, always say that life is a constant battle and in order to become successful, training children to become competitive in the early stage of their lives will be helpful. However, some argue that competition is not that beneficial and might cause negative behaviours to children. In this essay, I will closely examine both views, and would state my own opinion regarding the matter.

On the first side of the argument, people argue that competition is advantageous. In their point of view, structuring an environment under a context of competition will be challenging and will establish the need to strive and work harder to attain a particular goal that many aims. Therefore, competition enhances motivation and gives a sense of fulfilment. For instance, children in nursery schools join different contests and compete with other children. They try to do their best and maximises their resources to win the competition because of the reward that they may get from their parents or teachers.

On the other hand, some people believe that the drawbacks outweigh the positive effects of competition and teaching the child to cooperate are better. They explain that cooperation allows children a chance to understand and adjust to the needs of other children, hence, training them to become more sensitive individuals in the future. For example, in our home, I have never felt that my mum encouraged competition between me and my younger sister. She always says that each has her own unique talents and skills that should be enhanced and be shared to one another. Hence, every time that we need to do some task, we would rather help one another than to compete.

In summary, establishing a competitive and cooperative environment has its own merits. However, in my opinion, teaching children to cooperate is more beneficial in honing a mature and useful individual.
