Note: Any photos that exceed the caption length will be eliminated from the competition.

How to post your photo and caption: 
1.  Open the Padlet and click on the  + sign under the column of the level you're enrolled in.
2. In "Subject",  indicate your full name, the level you're enrolled in (A1-A2, B1 or B2), and your teacher's name.    Here's an example: 

John Smith - B1 (Carla Dechant)

3. Upload your photo using the camera icon
4. In the text box below the photo, write your caption.
5. Carefully review your caption and proofread for spelling and grammar mistakes.
6.  Click on "Publish".  NOTE:  Once you publish you cannot edit or delete your entry.

Voting and Winner
1. This Padlet will be made public via a link on the EOI website and the Cultural Activities Moodle classroom. Anyone in the educational community can vote on their favorite photo(s) and caption(s) via a system of "likes" by clicking on the heart at the bottom of each photo.  The 3 photos per level that receive the most "likes" will then be considered by the jury.  If there are fewer than 5 photos in a level, the contest for that level will be considered abandoned and annulled.

2 There will be a jury comprised of the two teachers responsible for organizing this activity who will recount the "likes" received by each photo.  Then those two teachers plus another 3 teachers from the English department will cast their single vote to determine the overall winner per level based on the originality and aesthetic quality of the photo and the originality and linguistic quality of the accompanying caption.

In case of a tie, the jury will ask another member of the English Department to cast his/her vote.

The jury reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the rules of this contest. Disqualified photos will be deleted from the Padlet before the voting period starts.

Winner: The  photos that are chosen by the jury's final vote will be declared the winners.  The jury's decision is final.

The winners will receive a gift certificate from a local business in Santiago, and the winning photos will be published on the school website, social media accounts, and in the EOI Hallway.   

Participation in this contest necessarily requires unconditional acceptance of all of its  rules.
