I can't stress enough how important family involvement is in a child's academic life. Families, being the child's first teachers, need to work together with all future teachers to ensure the best level of education for their child. Family involvement means the child can work at school and continue their studies at home with the help of their families. It also means that parents, if they have the free time, should come to a child's school and engage in some activities. There are many ways to overcome the "obstacle" of multilingual students. Don't make them feel that English is their only option because that will make them feel secluded if English isn't their mother-tongue. Ways we can incorporate all languages is to have books, songs, and posters in multiple languages.

This is true. Punishing a young child when they don't seem to understand will only hurt them in the long run. They will end up being afraid of failure. We need to let students know that it is okay to fail if we can correct ourselves and try better next time.

Remember:
"Guidance" is a positive word and is used to help a child progress and encourage them. "Discipline" is a negative word that children run away from because they know the outcome can't be good.
