2. Learning Activity: Present Simple, Oral Ability, Grade 3

Learning Objective:

Skill: Speaking.

Topic: Present Simple.

Goal: Students will write and say 3 complete sentences using the present simple to describe habitual actions.

Activity Structure.

Introduction:

Visual presentation (comic or narrative in English with sentences in the present simple, such as “I go to the park and play football”).

Explanation of the basic structure:

Regular: Base form for “I, we, you, you, you, they”; “-s” or “-es” for “he, she, it”. Ex:

I play soccer / She walks to school.

Irregular: No change, except “-s” in third person. Ex:

He goes to the park / She eats pizza.

Main activity:

Step 1: List 5 daily activities (e.g. I have breakfast with my family).

Step 2: Write and practice a dialogue of daily routines with at least 5 verbs.

Practice:

Students will read and revise their dialogues in pairs with a checklist (correct use of present simple, clarity and conjugation).

Feedback:

The teacher will highlight well-structured examples and review common errors.

Table of guiding verbs: Regular and irregular examples (play, go, eat).

Dialogue example:

A: What do you do every day?

B: I go to the park and play soccer.

Digital tools: Online games such as Kahoot to reinforce learning.

Level: Basic-Intermediate (A1-A2).

Motivation: Questions about daily routines to engage learners.
