This article reported that technological advances may affect youth on finding a job in Singapore, due to limited jobs opportunity in some sectors and especially administration being digitalized, the economy can be in recession, and job opportunities will be limited too. Hence, youths even with tertiary education might even have difficulty in finding a good job.

"With globalisation and advances in technology, he said he expects the next 50 years to be an exciting if uncertain time.

Yesterday, nine out of the 15 young people The Straits Times interviewed said they worried they would not be able to afford what one called "basic goods", namely a flat and a car."

Finance professional Chong Lingying, 24, said: "Things within reach for my parents' generation are completely unimaginable for me. I might be earning a lot more than my father did at my age, but I can't afford a car like he did, let alone a home any time soon."

Another concern that might be for the youth is globalization and advances in technology. This article reported that with globalization and advances in technology, it will be an exciting uncertain future. However, the youths surveyed doubt so because the generation for the youths is different and things may have all rise in costs which will result in being even basic goods for them such a flat and car might not be reachable compared to the previous generation.

A finance professional even said confirmed the basis that these 'basic goods' within their parents are not real for them because of globalization.

Hence, this shows that as much as there are still concerns and worries related to not finding good jobs due to the pandemic, but there is still optimism in youths believing they can indeed find a good job in the future.

Those with general degrees and diplomas will have to undergo conversion programmes."

Other concern that may concern in job finding is the required knowledge and skills .Youths could have diploma or degree but most of them are studied in generalization but not specialization. The jobs in the market now or newly posted needs people that are are more of specialization than those who study the skills generally. Hence, those with generalization qualification may have trouble in finding jobs as they have to undergo one more or even more conversion programmes which is complicated to a job, and by then youths would already become adults.
