My name’s Arshia, and I’m seventeen years old. I live in Tehran, which is the capital city of the Iran. I live with my parents and my younger brother, Ali. He’s twelve years old and still in primary school. My mum is a nurse and my dad works as an engineer.

In my free time, I enjoy playing football and going out with my friends. I’m also interested in music and films, especially action and science fiction ones. At school, my favourite subjects are English and history. I think English is really useful because I can use it to talk with people from other countries, like you!

I’d really like to have an English penfriend because I want to practise my English and learn more about life in the UK. I’ve heard that Newcastle is a very friendly city, and I’d love to visit one day. I’m also a big football fan, and I know Newcastle has a famous football team. Do you like football too?
