         <title>Skin Cells</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>   Your skin has to deal with a lot of wear and tear. So, your skin has to regenerate itself a lot. Your skin cells help you do this.  They are responsible for healing wounds and making sure your skin doesn't disappear.  There are 3 types of skin cells that I am going to list today. <br>  <strong>Epidermal Cells</strong>- these cells are responsible for regenerating skin for the different layers of epidermis.  The epidermis is the outer layer of our skin. <br>   <strong>Hair Follicle Cells</strong>- these cells make sure that our skin on  top of our heads have the constant renewal of skin. Hair follicles are what make up the root of each hair. Not to mention hair follicles can also renew the epidermis and sebaceous glands.<br>   <strong>Melanocyte Cells</strong>- these cells are responsible for replacing melanocytes. Melanocytes are a type of pigment cell that produce the pigment melanin.  Melanin is what is responsible for your skin, hair, and eye color. If you have darker skin, you have more melanin than lighter skinned people. We are not yet sure of where the melanocyte cells are. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>   Blood cells are flowing through your body every second.  Your blood is red because inside the blood cells there is a red colored protein called hemoglobin.<strong>  </strong>Hemoglobin helps the cells carry oxygen through the body.  Red blood cells carry waste, like carbon dioxide.   There are also white blood cells in the bloodstream. There are 1 or 2  white blood cells for every 1000 red blood cells.   White blood cells are a combination of a cleaning and defending cells.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Brain Cells</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> still communicate through chemical  The brain is what operates your whole body. It has a lot of cells that help it work. Some of the most common cells are neurons and glia. <br>Neurons  are cells in you brain that collect and send chemical and electrical signals. Neurons give signals to your muscles, tissues, and other neurons. They allow you to act, think, and feel.  a neuron is made up of three parts. A soma,  a axon, and branching dendrites.  The soma is the cells body. The axon sends out signals through the axon terminal and the dendrites receive signs from other neurons. Glia is also a big part of the brain. Scientist used to think that glia were only the "glue" in the brain. But they actually participate in brain signaling and keeping the neurons healthy. Glia cannot send messages, but they can still communicate in chemical signs. There are lots of different types of glia.  Fun fact, there are over 1 billion neuron in an adults brain and just as many glia.</div>]]></description>
