3: This seems to be the vocational school concept that I had while in high school. I think it is excellent to offer as much as possible to high school students. Too many have the idea that college is the be all to end all without even knowing what their career goal is upon entering college. This starts the career prep early.
2: How will this impact my students? How can we partner with the DD system to use as our business model.
1: I am willing to change everything. I should be in a model apartment teaching every life skill possible along with academics. My students needs hands on learning, not looking at a SmartBoard (that doesn't even work in my room anyway).

1. Getting support from businesses. Making the business part of the classroom. Discussing the options before a mandated implementation.
2. I am a little bit anxious and would like to see how the academy paths fit into all the successful programs that we have. At the same time, I am sure if we are creative and work together we will come up with an effective implementation.
I wonder how students and parents will feel when they have to chose the academy.
3. I will need to develop and include more curriculum related to specific careers in the academies.

1. Academies are intended to do what my marketing program already does with its students, The job/internship component is extremely useful, We have a greater say on what happens if we plan ahead (academies).
2. The scheduling and logistics of academies seems extremely complicated. I would like to see an actual working plan of what things are going to look like, especially teacher/building assignments.
1. I believe I am highly aligned with academies already-only thing that should change (and for the better) will be recruiting help-I will not have to do it all myself.
