The summer's heat singed my hope for a signal to guide my steps to a life entailed with sumptuous goods. Correspondingly, with the events that unfolded over the course of those few months, I concluded that waiting on a saving grace would only cause future accolades to deplete. An epiphany dawned on me, there would be no person or force that could grant me a roadmap to personal prosperity. Consequently, I am the sole authority that decides my position in life, only I can bestow contentment onto myself. Further, trying to find a purpose that I serve has been challenging for me, I especially fail to discover a career that will best suit me. Over the years, I have explored various professions and tried my hand at many trades. Yearning for a practice that would satisfy my envisions of a redeemable pursuit, every realistic opportunity at my disposal seemed dull and pointless. Due to such an intense disappointment branded into my outlook on what is soon to engulf the entirety of my existence, I drowned my worries with distractions. From occupying my time with double shifts, spending hours engaging in frivolous discussions, and finding vices to alleviate the anxiety tampering with my consciousness, I enabled myself to belittle the significance of my future. And when the summer months arrived, I planned to partake in the same habitual follies, there would be no difference in my demeanor. However, my arrogance failed to realize that there would be incidences over the summer that would have a more prominent say over my decisions than my own selfish wants. These unpleasurable circumstances introduced my immaturity to reality, and so my ego toppled. The summer's lessons assured me that negliegnce will only cause near sightedness and keep me unprepared for life's certain setbacks. Rather than run from such uncertainties, confront these problems and formulate a resolution. Moreover, heed the drawbacks set in your path and do not expect the obstacles to be cleared by anyone but you. We are our own beacon, the actions we make now will proceed the future's fruits.
