● Ḥikmah denotes fear [of God], according to Rabi bin Anas.

● Ḥikmah is the concept of comprehending the commands of Allah, according to Ibn Zayd.

● Ḥikmah is a blend of knowledge and deed, according to Ibn Qutaiba.

In the context of ʿibādah, it is believed that engaging in acts of worship can help one to acquire ḥikmah. This is because ʿibādah involves not only the performance of physical acts, but also the cultivation of inner qualities such as humility, sincerity, and devotion. By engaging in ʿibādah with the right intention and mindset, one can develop these qualities and thereby acquire ḥikmah.

Objective of Hikmah in Islam

Help individuals develop a deeper understanding of the religion and to live their lives in accordance with its teachings. It is believed that engaging in cultivation of inner qualities such as humility, sincerity, and devotion.

In Islam, the term niyyah refers to the intention or motive behind an act, which is to attain Allah SWT’s reward and draw oneself closer to the Almighty

Setting the right niyyah is important because it helps distinguish between different acts of worship and helps one differentiate between the acts that are solely performed for the sake of Allah SWT and those that are performed for the sake of others.

It is believed that any deed performed without niyyah might not be accepted by Allah SWT

Tips to correct Niyyah:

1.Sincerity: One should perform the act of worship solely for the sake of Allah SWT and not for any other reason.

2.  Purity of intention: One should make sure that their intention is pure and free from any ulterior motives.

3.Clarity: One should be clear about what they intend to do and why they intend to do it.

4.Focus: One should focus on the act of worship and avoid any distractions.

5.  Consistency: One should make sure that their intention remains consistent throughout the act of worship.

In Islam, amal refers to the practice of performing good deeds and acts of worship.

It is a fundamental aspect of the Islamic faith and is considered to be one of the most important ways in which Muslims can demonstrate their devotion to Allah.

Amal is also believed to have a positive impact on the wider community, as it encourages Muslims to engage in acts of kindness, charity, and service

To apply the right amal, one should strive to perform acts of worship and good deeds with sincerity and devotion.

It is important to remember that the intention behind the act is just as important as the act itself.

Conditions for the validity of prayer

1. Pure from major and minor impurities

2. Cleanliness of body, clothes, and place of prayer from impurities

5. Facing the qiblah (direction of the Kaaba in Mecca) with certainty

6. Knowing the method of performing the prayer

7. Avoiding actions that invalidate the prayer

Steps in prayer

1. Intention (niat)

2. Standing (if able) for the fardu prayer

3. Takbiratul ihram (saying "Allahu Akbar" to commence the prayer)

4. Reciting Surah al-Fatihah

5. Ruku' (bowing)

6. I'tidal (standing upright) after ruku'

7. Performing two prostrations (sujud) in each rak'ah (unit)

8. Sitting between the two prostrations

9. Sitting for the final tashahhud (testification)

10. Reciting the final tashahhud

4. Dua (Supplication): Giving sadaqah is believed to increase the likelihood of one's prayers being answered, as it demonstrates trust in Allah's provision and care.

5. Easing Difficulties: Sadaqah can alleviate difficulties and hardships faced by others, bringing comfort and relief to those in distress.

6. Barakah and Increased Provision: Like zakat, sadaqah is believed to attract blessings and increase in one's provision, both materially and spiritually.

1. Pillar of Islam: Hajj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is obligatory for every able-bodied Muslim who can afford it at least once in their lifetime.
