A major environmental issue affecting the Yangtze River is pollution. The Yangtze River has become contaminated due to pollution which has led to unsafe drinking water . The people who are relying on the Yangtze River has started “China’s clean up the Yangtze river in 7 years” program so they can clean the water so it is safe for drinking by stopping ships from having oil spills with special equipment and also all cities will have their own rubbish disposal facilities that will ensure the waste can be properly disposed so it is not dumped near or in the Yangtze river. Yangtze river pollution is becoming an environmental issue.
