The current poverty line stands at and average of 482 EGP (about $54.00) per month and the extreme poverty line stands at an average of 322 EGP (about $36). About 56.8% of those living in Upper Egypt's rural areas cannot meet their basic needs.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Egypt has the largest overall education system in the Middle East and North Africa. There is 3 levels of learning in Egypt. Level 1 is a basic learning stage for ages 4-14 years old, Kindergarten for 2 years, Primary school for 6 years, and Preparatory school for 3 years. Level 2 is for 3 years for ages 15-17 years old. Level 3 is for ages 98-100 years old which is just a compulsory of 9 academic years made into 2 years.</div>]]></description>
