The purpose for this assignment was to understand the importance of commas in your writing and the importance of having correct punctuation in any of your work. As I analyzed this article I realized my punctuation was weak and my previous work was never communicated effectively. It became my goal this year to focus on my punctuation and I believe it has progressed.

The importance these events had on my life and how they have shaped me and my humor today is amazing. As this being the first essay in this class I got comfortable with writing an essay and with the feedback from my professor I was able to make this easily one of my best essays I have ever written and something I'm proud to share with others.

This assignment gave me the ability to analyze each technique and while analyzing this video it helped teach me how to include humor techniques in my own writing.

I learned the rules and how to use citations properly. Citing in MLA has always been something I have struggled with and this assignment helped me to understand how to make my writing stronger and not face plagiarism.

I analyzed the author A.O. Scott’s article and the techniques he used to prove to be a credible source to his audience and the tactics he used to keep them engaged. I have taken the techniques he has used in my own writing and I now know how to stand out to an audience.

This assignment helped me to be extra cautious when quoting others' work and to make sure I give credit to the author. I had to take a quiz to pass this assignment and I believe that also shows my understanding with this assignment.

I used the techniques I learned about to provide a credible and effective argument. I also found this assignment very intriguing because of the SNL skit that I was analyzing.
