Our fourth grade students had an incredible opportunity of learning about the importance of our natural resource - water! Through a great presentation by the MN Science Museum on the history of water and its impact on our lives, students learned that water is a limited resource. They had the opportunity to find out first hand how different pollutants in our water endanger people, animals, and plants. Thank you for the funding support of this wonderful interdisciplinary science unit. I am very appreciative of your continued partnership with our students and staff!
Deb Vetter
WIS Media Director

Another interesting fact is that there are 369 Quintilian gallons of water on Earth and we can only use a very small amount of it. One very shocking fact was that one average person uses 750 gallons of water in ONE day which is so bizarre! Thank you, WAF, for your funding to have made this fun learning experience possible for all of 4th grade. It was a cool way to learn about something we would have never thought to research- water - and some unique facts that blew our minds! It was also a joy to be taught by Emily and Sam!

Natalie Berndt and Rosalyn Sanchez
WIS students
