I chose this location because right now it is not being used. Also, we would use the Southern Pollinators Conservation seed mix, which may draw stinging pollinators. Since students don’t frequent this area, it would be the best place for these stinging insects to be drawn to.  

This would be the main location for attracting stinging pollinators, since it is the only place where it doesn’t matter if they are drawn to it. So, they are a focus of this garden. Also, butterflies and moths, like the monarch butterfly, are a target here. 
The seed mix would be the Southern Pollinators Conservation mix—including milkweed, native grasses, yarrow, coneflowers, false sunflowers, and bergamot. 

I chose this location because it is right by the downspout from the roof. It would catch the water and make for both a healthy garden and less runoff water going into the parking lot and baseball fields.  

This one would have both additional rain garden grasses and the Southern Monarch Habitat seed mix, so it would mostly attract Monarch butterflies. Again, not able to post a picture of these.

The seed mix would include the Southern Monarch Habitat mix as well as some of the other rain garden grasses and plants mentioned in the other rain garden sections—ferns and long grasses. This way, the water will be caught more and the soil may be held in place more than before because of the flowers’ roots. 

I chose this location because a rain/pollinator garden here would reduce the amount of water that floods the baseball field, and it would be well-watered. 

The pollinators we would be trying to draw here would be butterflies and hummingbirds. 

We should plant orange and white flowers here, since it is along the back of the baseball fields. We could plant torch lilies, butterfly weed, Lewisia, Daylilies, Potentilla/Cinquefoil, and Orange Cosmos for orange flowers, and White Swan Coneflowers, Shasta Daisies, and Coreopsis Star Cluster for white flowers. We could use the Southern Butterfly and Hummingbird mix if we needed to though.
