1838- Coronation of Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria was crowned Queen of England when she was 18 and proceeded to reign as one of the best queens for that country. To start with under her control England reached its Golden Age. Such as helping industrial growth, expansion in territory, and overall made England the most powerful nation at the time.

Until Matthew Perry, a US Commodore, was sent on a mission to tell Japan either they open trade routes with America or in a year they'll come with a bigger fleet. Japan had no choice but to agree and opened two ports for America to bring and take supplies. After all that, other countries followed and soon began trade with Japan

This invention helped with trading stuff, transporting goods, and traveling. It hauled many goods on a track with steam and gas to force the movement. The Steam Locomotive had a great impact on society and transportation.

The Scramble for Africa had many different countries wanting power and gaining land. England always wanted control of Africa to put and end to slavery, show them Christianity, and catch foot on the Congo River. Plus, they could also show Africa much more technology they discovered during industrialization. As soon as diamonds were found which attracted many other countries. In addition, they set up the Berlin Conference to decide how Africa was disputed. However, no African ruler was invited to the Berlin Conference nor had a say in what happened to their country. Africa could not be a country of its own which made it more difficult on how they would grow as a country. Imperialism had a great effect on Africa and who they are today.

1757- England Colonized Asia

India was its own country until Britain slowly took control. It started with England setting up trading posts in every important port going into India. Mainly England wanted their spices, tea, coffee, textiles, and porcelain. Soon then, England had full control over India which was the most valuable then all the other British colonies. It was also good territory for England to have control for trading with China, especially the silk roads.England took all rights away from the people of India. They set up many rules so India couldn't colonize on its own. Such as buying products and producing products for England, and could not go against England. Moreover this limited India's ability to have their own rights. In the end, this all left India in a tough stop for industrialization and ended up with no growth during the imperialism.
