This supports SDG 13: Climate Action by encouraging clean energy and helping fight climate change.</p><p> Ideate:</p><p>Awareness Content</p><p> • Make simple videos or posters that explain how solar energy works and why it’s good for the planet.</p><p> • Share tips online about how using solar chargers helps reduce air pollution and saves money in the long run.</p><p> • Work with companies or schools to promote green energy through workshops and small events.</p><p>Public Policy Support</p><p> • Suggest ideas to the local government to support solar charger installation in public places like malls, schools, or parks.</p><p> • Ask for rewards such as parking discounts or points for people who use solar charging.</p><p> • Recommend policies that make it easier for businesses to invest in solar systems.</p><p>Prototype (Simple Version) – Solar Charging Parking Spots</p><p> 1. Smart Solar Roof System:</p><p> • A solar panel roof is built over each parking spot.</p><p> • It uses sunlight to make electricity, which is stored in a battery.</p><p> • A small screen shows how much solar energy is being made in real time.</p><p>2. Easy Charging Dock :</p><p> • Drivers park and plug in their car easily – no need to touch any screens.</p><p> • The system detects the car type and gives the right charging speed.</p><p> • Colored lights show the status (red = charging, green = full).</p><p>3. The aim is to build a community driven, scalable model that redefines ethical winter fashion for cold weather regions.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Ideate:</strong></p><p>In colder parts of the UK, more people are looking for winter clothing that’s not just warm and stylish, but also sustainable. With growing awareness of fast fashion’s environmental impact, shoppers especially eco-conscious adults, young professionals, and parents want durable, ethical alternatives that fit unpredictable weather. Yet options that combine function, fashion, and transparency are limited. This gap presents an opportunity to design a circular winterwear line that’s adaptable and traceable. Key features like modular garments, QR codes for product history, and repair kits help extend clothing life and reduce waste. Subscription options and return rewards support a circular model, while a companion app guides users on care and recycling. As interest in slow fashion rises, existing tech tools and UK-based recycling partners make the model feasible. Testing begins with a small modular collection, QR-enabled tags, and a return program trial in Glasgow. The brand plans to launch online through platforms like Depop and Vinted, paired with pop-up events in major cities. Over time, the model can scale regionally, expand the product line, and build deeper community engagement through co-design and local partnerships.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Prototype: </strong></p><p><strong>North Loop</strong> is a UK based fashion brand rethinking winterwear with a strong focus on ethics, sustainability, and smart design. With the tagline <em>“Wear the season, not the waste,”</em> the brand stands for transparency, circular fashion, and clothes built to last. It's made for people who want style and function without the guilt of fast fashion.</p><p>Their solution? Modular jackets that adapt to changing weather, kids’ snowsuits made from organic materials, and clothing tagged with QR codes that reveal the item’s origins, impact, and care tips. With a built an app that helps you track how often you wear each piece, when to return it, and how to care for it plus, you get rewards for sending items back. Each order also includes a repair kit to help extend the life of your clothes.</p><p>North Loop is testing the concept with a small launch offering select pieces, QR tech, and a return program in Glasgow.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Prototype</p><p><br/></p><p>Some raw materials are available within Sri Lanka which we can get at a cheaper price (aluminum,  Tempered glass, wirings and packaging materials).</p><p>Still some core materials ( Pv cells, silicon wafers, EVA films) needs to be imported which can be imported at low cost from China and also get some subsidies from the government.</p><p><br/></p><p>The reason why existing firms have higher price is that there is no or very limited production in Sri Lanka and also all the raw materials are directly imported.</p>]]></description>
