When you turn a fraction into a decimal, first you need to find what place the denominators in and move the numerator that many places from the decimal point. If the denominator is a number that is not easy to realize what place it is in, like 36, find a number to multiply it by to make it into a reasonable number to find it's place, but now you have to multiply the numerator by the same number. If you get an improper fraction, just divide the denominator by the numerator, and if you start seeing a pattern in the dividing take the number or numbers you are seeing the most, put them behind the decimal point, and add a notation bar above them.
