My hope for my internship, this year, in Cois Ceim, is to gain more knowledge and experience in dance education, as it is an area I am extremely passionate about. I hope to gain a lot of information in the importance of the Arts education in the primary curriculum from first-hand experience. I believe the arts should to be part of the core curriculum in the primary education sector as I believe it encourages the development of creativity, critical thinking, motivation and self-confidence as these are skills necessary for innovation. Such skills are also believed to help children learn academically, and I want to see if my understanding of the importance and benefits of the arts in education is true. I also hope to use my findings in my thesis.
