You should pick the things you enjoy and do well in as this will result in you wanting to learn more. Another thing to consider is the job you may want when you are older, you may not currently know however the options you choose may allow you to determine your future job.

Genuinely, don't force yourself to pick subjects that lend themselves to a career you want to do later on in life, but instead do what you enjoy.

All of the subjects are worth just as much as one another and Colleges, Universities and Employers won't look at what subjects you've chosen but your actual grades so pick what your good at, and what you like.

Remember that Grades are more important than your Choices, so think hard about what your honestly good at.

I can honestly say that I do not regret the subjects that I chose, but I did underestimate the difficulty. Don't pick your subjects based on how easy you think they will be, I can assure you that all GCSE's require work and dedication. Choose subjects that you enjoy or that you excel in so that you are willing to put in the effort. Also, I'd suggest choosing a mixed programme for your GCSE's. You have the option to choose GCSE's and/or BTECs (I do 2 BTECs and 1 GCSE) and - in my opinion - the workload is just right. It also means I'll have less exams to sit at the end of year 11. However, I'd argue against picking 3 BTECs, because you'll have lots of coursework and deadlines. Overall, my advice to you is to select your subjects based on your passions; don't follow your friends and don't worry too much about your future/career, as you can focus on this at college. However, you should pick a mix of subjects that will aid you if you have a certain career path in mind. Also, it doesn't really matter if your subject is a BTEC or a GCSE as they are worth the same and you can get into most colleges with them. However, they both have their pros and cons: GCSEs are more exam based whereas BTECs are more coursework-based. As long as you do well in your subjects as you can really narrow down on them in college but you'll only have the options open if you do well. So do well!!! 😤😤😤
