         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Puritans originally came from England in the late 1600s by boats. They left England because they wanted to purify the Catholic Church. They were soon known as the 'Puritans' by their enemies. Their ultimate goal is to purify the church in doing so hoping England would follow along. </div>]]></description>

He started the idea of land ownership, helped the colony survived droughts, and against Indian attacks. Squanto was the linked between the native americans and Pilgrims. He himself was a native american. Samoset was the first native american to sell land to the Pilgrims in 1625</div>]]></description>

Soon greediness came to play and then people started assuming that there are people working with the devil. Hundreds of people were accused of using dark magic and 20 were executed.  </div>]]></description>
