I have updated my rosters and made sure to keep my emergency folder in a visible place easy for anyone to locate it.

I also have copies of activities for students to work on in my absence. They are located in a yellow folder.

I feel I have pretty strong routines set in my classrooms and students follow them as best as they can. I have a laminated poster that I update every quarter or after every break. Because I teach newcomers, I have a need to review or reteach these expectations almost weekly.

I am pretty confident with my routines; however, I need to do a better job with VS when dismissing them. They keep on lining up by the door which is not something I am happy about. I will try to find some sort of incentive and/or consequence to improve this routine.

I know all the expectations and locations of the plans if the teacher is not available, for myself and the students. The emergency log is usually in front of the classroom board or on top of the teachers desk in the corner visible with all instructions... Also I have accept to all students

Expectations! Students know if they are meeting expectations because they are posted around the classroom. Reminding the students of what is expected of them in class. Communicate by having it posted and giving the students reminders.

Routines! Welcoming students and greeting them at the door. Notifying students of tasks that will be completed during class and where it can be located. Passes should be given during down or non instructional time with a limit time of 5 mins. Dismissal students should stay in seats until the bell rings.

students are aware of expectations. Routine wise students are expected to retrieve their bins from the back which has all their materials. They show they understand expectations because they have their materials once the bell rings.

having a task for students as they enter?: para or the lead teacher is directing students to get their baskets

asking for passes? - we reinforce that students cannot ask for a pass the 1st 10 minutes of class

students without Chromebooks?: if students do not have a chromebook they are given a scholastic reading/questions to answer

finished work? if students are finished with work then they need to go on software or bookshelf
dismissal from class : students are expected to wait in their seats.

Expectations are posted in the majority of the classes I support and are referred to frequently. Reminders are given when students are not meeting expectations and praise is given when they are.

Routines have been established in all classes I support. Teacher/Support Staff are always greeting students at the door as they enter. There is always a task on the board for students to begin when they enter. Passes are only written during the time they are allowed. A couple of classes need to have a few printed copies of the lesson so if students don't have a chromebook they can still participated. Students are expected to be in their seats before they are dismissed.
