Hey everyone! I'm Syniah Allen. I'm a freshman and currently majoring in Health Administration. I'm also from Brooklyn, New York. I love to be with friends and family, read, as well as listen to music in my free time. I hope that I'll get to know each and every one of you guys very soon.

Important Social Issue and Solution

An important social issue that's important to me is systematic racism. This movement reflects a lot of societal issues against black people and other people of color including racial inequality, less economic resources, health inequality and etc. It causes a lot of conflict against BIPOC individuals in life, making it harder for them to live a normal and peaceful life. A solution that can be used to fight against these issues is funding towards more lower-class neighborhoods, as well as helping the communities out that need more local resources such as food, water, heat and other necessities in times of need.

Memorable Moment

A Memorable moment that I will always cherish is the day of my prom. Before going to prom, I had a prom send-off. I was so nervous to come outside my house and take pictures but once I saw the turnout of all my friends and family there, it made me happy and feel loved. Everyone showed up and kept on hyping me up on my day. It made me feel very special and like literal princess in that moment. I appreciated everyone coming that even at the end of the day, I thanked God for allowing me to have such amazing people in my life who are supportive and loving.
