  • Ads must not manipulate anxiety (Health, safety, and finance)

  • Ads cant use superstitions or fears to deceive consumers

  • This applies only to sensitive subjects where consumers are vulnerable to ensure ads remain factual rather than manipulative. (Ex. Smoking, AIDS advertisements, drinking while pregnant, etc.)

  • Example: playing on fear related to medical conditions, without scientific support.
