Today we received our assignment, we had to choose a practitioner however my and my peer already knew we wanted to do Stanislavski so we picked him as our practitioner, we then decided to go on the internet and search for naturalism scripts as Stanislavski never actually created his own scripts he did however inspire others which is what we looked for online. We came across a few scripts and decided this week it would be best to look at scenes from the scripts we found and decide which was the most naturalistic and which was most related to Stanislavski, to decide this we looked at scenes. This week we narrowed it down between two pieces, this was between, Pulp fiction and Bonnie and Clyde.

Today we looked at Bonnie and Clyde and Pulp fiction, we looked at the scenes that we would use if we did either piece, in Pulp fiction we looked at the first scene which was the robbery of the diner and in Bonnie and Clyde we looked at their meeting scene and since on it’s own it wouldn’t be long enough we looked at the final scene too as we would be able to perform both. This is the scene we watched for Pulp fiction.

Today we decided that we would choose a scene from Bonnie and Clyde when going over the script we found that without props it was harder to visualise the script and made is harder to learn this is when we decided to make use of what we had, we used a table and chairs to create the front of the car, this made it easier to set it out on the stage and in turn improved our performance as we were not worrying about location.

We added the sound effects and performed it with tech going through the script with our tutor to show when sounds and lights where needed and sound effects. We decided to centre the props in the final scene as it worked better, we also added a final newspaper photo which confirmed Bonny and clyde were dead on the screen behind us.
