Our first book is That's Not My Name by Megan Lally.

Summary: That's Not My Name is a young adult thriller about two parallel narratives: a girl with amnesia, who is taken in by a man claiming to be her father, and a teenage boy named Drew, who is the prime suspect in his girlfriend Lola's disappearance. The story follows their separate struggles as the girl's fragmented memories return and Drew desperately tries to clear his name and find Lola, leading to a shocking, interconnected twist at the end!

The story explores themes of forbidden romance, the pressures of the K-pop world, and Jenny's journey to balance her dreams with her heart.

Next year we will be reading thrillers and horror books which is a complete 360 but make sure to check out our romance section in our YA collection!

There are a few ways to do it. I found a free Canva template online and used images of the books we've read this year for book club as well as some titles I suggest for summer reading!

After cutting those out, we glued them to rectangle pieces of foam paper. We used white so it would actually look like the book! This is an unnecessary step but can help the book covers from being bent in the jar.

For March we will be reading Places We've Never Been by Kasie West.

Summary: A contemporary young adult novel by Kasie West about a cross-country RV road trip that rekindles a friendship and sparks a romance between two childhood best friends, Norah and Skyler.

Summary: Eleanor & Park is a coming-of-age novel about two high school misfits, Eleanor and Park, who meet on a school bus in Omaha in 1986. They bond over their shared love of music and comic books, which blossoms into first love and a deep emotional connection, but also navigates themes of domestic abuse, family issues, and the challenges of being an outsider.
