The name is Ashley G. Gubantes. Some of my friends would call me "Ash" or "Ashy". I am 16 years old, turning 17 this September. I am the middle child in a family of five.

In achieving my career objective, I will undergo with these steps:

1. I am currently in Senior High School, enrolled in Ateneo De Davao University under the strand ABM. I chose this strand because business and financing piqued my interest, I believe that this strand will also help me in developing a solid foundation for my future career in the corporate world.

2. I plan to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Ateneo De Davao University. I personally chose this university because of its excellent background for business education, dedicated faculty, and commitment to ethical practices in business. 

3. While studying at Ateneo De Davao University, I will prioritize excelling in core subjects such as Business Management and Financial Accounting. I also plan to participate in workshops and seminars to stay updated on industry trends.

4. After graduating from Ateneo De Davao University, I plan on seeking internship opportunities from reputable companies as an experience in enhancing my skills and knowledge in my chosen program. Through internships, it will most likely help me gain insights into the industry.

5. After gaining some work experience and after graduating, I plan to pursue a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field. 

6. The final step is achieving my career goal of becoming a successful Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and eventually taking on a managerial role in finance or consulting. I aspire to contribute to the growth of businesses in the Philippines and promote ethical practices in the accounting profession.

Yes, the subject of Personal Development was incredibly helpful for me in many ways. It allowed me to explore my own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, which helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses more clearly than ever before. By engaging in various activities and reflections, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of my personal values and aspirations, which has significantly influenced the decisions I make for my future.

2. What were your key takeaways from the subject?

One of my key takeaways from this subject is the vital importance of setting specific and achievable goals in order to guide my personal growth. Additionally, I learned that developing resilience is crucial, as it helps me navigate challenges and setbacks with a positive attitude. I also discovered effective time management strategies that allow me to prioritize my tasks better, and I realized that maintaining a positive mindset can greatly enhance my overall well-being and success in life.

3. What two topics were your favorites and why?

Among all the topics we covered, my favorites were emotional intelligence and goal setting. I found emotional intelligence particularly interesting because it highlights the significance of understanding not only my own feelings but also the feelings of others, which is essential for building strong and meaningful relationships. Goal setting stood out to me as well, as it provided practical tools and techniques for creating a clear roadmap to achieve my aspirations, making the process of reaching my dreams feel much more attainable.
