In order for change to occur the targeted population needs to see a reason for the change and thus the importance of understanding what motivates them. Trying to bring about change when you do not understand the problem, the population; or if the target group does not think there is a problem, is futile.

Today's discussion looked at the persons who are part of the prevention team and the advantages and disadvantages of the members. It highlighted the need to know the targeted population and their culture.
