Kabbalah seeks to define the nature of the universe and human being, in other words the purpose of existence and many other ethical questions. This term literally means "to receive". This belief states that all aspects of our life come from the same root or trunk.

Judaism was originated and is fully surrounded by the simple belief in one God, which is referred to as monotheism. They believe that this God is perfect in every aspect. That he was not created at a point in time or will ever disman. They believe in an infinite God. We read in the Torah the first five books of the Hebrews bible or in other word Tanakh, which consist of many different stories that introduce who this God is. This is the God that sent the commandments down and began the " Law of Moses".

During the literature of the Rabbinic period the Tanakh was called the Mikrah. Today the Mikrah and the Tanakh are interchangable.

This term can also be interpreted as a (prophet). These are men who have been created of great stature. The Jewish people look at prophets like the spokesman for God. They believe that these men were chosen by God specifically to speak on his behalf. It is also recorded that a prophet does not necessarily have to be a Jew. The Talmud reports prophets among the gentiles and Israelite's, even prophets known by the name Jonah who were simply sent to speak of God to gentiles. Jews believe that God has a plan to fulfill prophecy and share word of the Torah.

In Judaism, this being is known as the Messiah, a man who is considered One of God as mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. Christians believe that is, in the foretold Hebrews Bible that the Messiah came as the person Jesus of Nazareth; Jews on the other hand do not believe that Jesus is the messiah. Instead that he is simply a prophet for their God. To this day, Some Jews still believe that the Messiah has not come as the Hebrews Bible says. This is a subject that some Jews think has yet to be fulfilled in prophecy, and has still yet to come.
