I as wall have been in different classrooms, throughout my second year of being in the program. When I started shadowing classrooms I was going into high schools, middle schools, and as wall elementary school. In high school the teacher did a lot of exit paper, the teacher would ask the students to write a question they had or some feed back on the lesson today. later with that information she would crate a test on the questions being asked by students. This would help the teacher test the students. In middle school the teachers taking some time before starting the class and asking the students what they wished they would off spend more time on something they learn the day before. Then he would provide a small quiz just to see if the students were understanding the content. Students really like this because they also express what they liked and what they wanted to change in the lesson based on the test. In elementary during the day my mentor teacher would be making gathering times or check inns to see if the students are doing good or if their needs to be directive with instructions. My mentor teacher liked asking questions on different assents or chatting a problem to see if the students can be solve.

I have a very strong feeling about students self-assessment because it can give us a better understanding on what level the students. This helps see the points were students are having a hard time understanding and what they have a very good understanding. It can be an eye opener for the teacher and realize where the she needs to take more time in teaching the lesson if the students have been felling or mist understanding the content. I like it because it also gives me an idea of were I can help the student when I go into the classrooms. I'm more prepared with the students that I'm helping because the teachers also give some guidance on self assessments on different students and it helps a lot more when coming in the classrooms.
