The school board in Arkansas decided to start slowly integrating the schools. The nine students shown all registered for classes at the school creates in 1927. They called national guards to prevent the students entry into the school. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) attempted to register colored students in an all-white school. Thus resulting in the Little Rock Nine. During the actual event Governor Orval Faubus deployed the Arkansas National Guard to support the segregationists during protests outside of the school. The mayor of Little Rock, Woodrow Wilson Mann, asked for federal troops to be sent to escort the nine students.</div>]]></description>
